Want a slimmer waistline? Eat lunch like a Prince

Eating a substantial size lunch with a calorie count equivalent to that of your breakfast (at least 400 calories and up to 600 calories) will keep energy levels and metabolism revved up, which will increase the number of calories burned throughout the day and may help to further decrease evening cravings.

According to Dr. Salge-Blake, a registered dietitian and clinical associate professor at Boston University, “Most people try to restrict during the day only to become overcome by intense hunger in the evening.”

She further advises not to do this, unless you want to completely slow down your metabolism and encourage your body to store fat rather than use your fat stores for energy.

In order to lose weight, keep your metabolism up and stable with consistent and substantial amounts of good-quality foods.
