M.A.,ATC/LAT, CSCS : Kelly is a Certified Athletic Trainer and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. She graduated from Westfield State University (formerly known as Westfield State College) in Westfield Massachusetts and obtained her B.S. in Movement Science with a concentration in Athletic Training. She then went on to the University of South Florida, where she obtained her M.A. in Exercise Science with a concentration in Strength and Conditioning. Kelly completed a thesis studying the effects of pre-exercise carbohydrate ingestion on resistance training performance for physically active females and plans to pursue a PhD. and teach nutrition and exercise science courses at the collegiate level. Kelly believes that in order to achieve overall health and wellness, one must practice healthy lifestyle behaviors and understand the importance of the healthy choices made each and every day. Her philosophy is that your body is an engine; you need to fuel the body with the proper nutrients in order to keep it running properly at the optimal levels throughout the lifespan. Her favorite part of her job as the nutrition coordinator at Tampa Rejuvenation is talking with the clients and helping them understand the importance of a proper diet and daily physical activity in order to promote a healthy lifestyle and to see the drastic results of making their lifestyle behavior change.
